FAQs about BIU

If you are interested in learning homeopathy, read following FAQs

1- Is BIU the same famous Berkeley University in the state of California?

It is exactly mentioned in the BIU’s website (www.berkele-edu.us) that BIU is different from Berkeley University in the state of California. BIU is in the state of Delaware and is a private university.

2- Is BIU registered by US department of higher education?

U.S. department of higher education has some special rules for making academic centers recognized formally that most of these rules cost so much. On the other hand, other universities that have been registered by the department of higher education can’t set low price for course payment, so that educational payments would rise up and there for they would lose their students and definitely their international activities would abate. Nevertheless, BIU can provide Degrees endorsed by the government education department but the cost will become higher through BPPVE.

3-Is there any special committee in US department of higher education for accrediting the homeopathic courses?

According to the history of homeopathy in America, homeopathy faced to many fluctuations and at the end under the force of American Medical Association(AMA), Homeopathic faculties and colleges completely lost their validation and gradually they were eliminated, thus homeopathic education could not be registered as formal courses in US despite of its potentials, although there are several committees for evaluation and accreditation for some of complementary medicine but there is not the same assessing committees for homeopathy in the US department of higher education.

4- How was the international accreditation of BIU obtained?

All of the universities who prefer not to impose the  and prefer to propagate their education for more people that the number of their students would be decreased with such high costs, so they prefer to obtain their accreditation from other sources and because BIU has international educational activities and department of higher education do not support any international education so BIU after several assessment could obtain worldwide international accreditation from an international  organization called WUAC that is recognized with UNICEF and UNESCO . This accreditation is approved by many of European and Asian countries. And also BIU recently has been accredited byAAHEA - American Association of Higher Education and Accreditation.

5- Is BIU’s transcripts and certification valid for Iran ministry of higher education or ministry of Health and medical education?  As BIU’s educational activities just is limited to homeopathic education that its assessment is on the ministry of Health and medical education in Iran, so these evaluation is not in the field of ministry of science, on the other hand, ministry of health and medical education just assesses and evaluate only universities and colleges in the field of medicine, so the evaluation of the BIU’s certification would not be in their field. As there is no homeopathic educational institute all over the world that teach homeopathy under academic standards and also under supervision of a university and offering degree and transcripts, BIU is unique all over the world and on the other hand all of the homeopathic graduates participate in the Dual Degree Program, it means that Avicenna Research Centre will offer another certification and transcript that it will be accredited by Ministry of higher education and also ministry of health and medical science.
